About Us
Lubbock Baptist Temple is an Independent Baptist Church that focuses on Biblical preaching and teaching. We seek to reach the community and world around us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to create a family atmosphere where you will feel welcomed.

Pastor Bygel has been at Lubbock Baptist Temple for 25 years and has been in ministry for 38 years. He and Andrea have been married 39 years.

Matt serves as our worship minister and his wife Rachel is active in our children’s ministries.
Jimmy Gilbreath

Jimmy Gilbreath
Jimmy serves as our Pastoral Assistant. He teaches out young adult Bible study. His wife Shawnee teaches a ladies Bible study and is active in planning our ladies events .
Children's and Youth Ministry
Our children's and youth ministry will teach your children the gospel in a way that is interactive and entertaining. Our teachers are background checked and trained.
Young Adult and Family Ministry
College-aged adults and young families meet together Sunday mornings for fellowship and Bible study. They also have a monthly fellowships.
Adult Ministry
The men enjoy monthly prayer breakfasts and also go to an annual men’s retreat.
The ladies ministry have Wednesday night Bible studies and regularly scheduled activities.
The Seniors have a regular monthly fellowship and a weekly bible study.
Missions Ministry
Our church has a heart for missions. We currently support missionaries all across the globe. We also work with local ministries and non-profit such as the Calebs Closet, Food Bank, and Texas Boys Ranch.
